Telehealth Policy

Telehealth allows for Levity practitioners to meet with you virtually, meaning you can speak with us without to go to an office or clinic.

Levity uses HIPAA secured telehealth technologies that clients can access by phone, computer or tablet and which permit the use of videoconferencing.

The main telehealth benefit is convenience, saving you travel time and the need to visit a specific location for your consultation. However, Telehealth does present some potential drawbacks, including, for example:

You may feel more disconnected from your provider given the virtual nature of the interaction.

There is more space for your provider to make a mistake because they may not be able to interrogate your experience or situation as closely.

Technical problems may interrupt or stop your visit before completion.

Telehealth privacy
Levity does not record client telehealth visits. As with an in-person consultation, and as required by law, we will keep notes on the interaction in our secured health portal. Please see the Levity Notice of Privacy Practices to review how Levity protects personal health information.

If individuals are near you during the telehealth consultation, they may hear something you did not intend for them to know. We recommend you take all telehealth consultations in a private place so others cannot hear the exchange. Levity practitioners will take your telehealth consultations in a private space and will tell you if there are Levity staff other than your practitioner present during your consultation that may hear or see you; individuals not associated with the practice will be strictly unpermitted to be present during your telehealth consultations.

As previously noted, Levity uses secure telehealth technologies. We encourage you to protect your privacy further by using private and secure networks when connecting. This is a very small change someone could use technology to hear or see your telehealth visit.

Office Visits
Levity is mobile. Beyond the in-person ketamine treatment experience, we unfortunately do not conduct any in-person consultations, including intakes, preparation or integration work.

Telehealth Satisfaction
If you find you are unsatisfied with telehealth, you make stop using the service at any time, even during a consultation. If you decide you do not want to use telehealth again you can inform us in writing or by calling Levity at the contact information provided below.

Pricing
Levity telehealth consultations are generally included in the overall price of the Levity journey or training.

Rights
You are not required to consent to telehealth. You should not sign any telehealth consent forms until you start your first telehealth visit and your Levity practitioner can discuss it with you in detail.

Should you consent to telehealth with Levity, you agree that:
•    Levity practitioners have discussed our telehealth policy with you
•    Levity has answered all your questions regarding its telehealth policy
•    You desire to proceed with telehealth

In the case of consent, you will be provided with a copy the documentation.

Should there be any updates to this policy, Levity will inform patients who will have the opportunity to withdraw their consent.
